I first became interested if Freemasonry when I was 20 years old after I became good friends with four Masons who ultimately became my closest friends and Brethren.
Over the course of 15 years, I read many books and had lengthy conversations with these four Brethren until I finally felt prepared to submit my petition for membership at McAllen Lodge #1110. It is not necessary to wait that long to join this wonderful fraternity, however, I realized that it was a huge step in my personal development and I felt I needed time to prepare myself for this journey.
Today, I am glad that I decided to join Freemasonry. I am exceedingly thankful for the brotherhood and fellowship as well as the opportunity to improve myself through Freemasonry’s teachings as I keep striving to be the best man I can be.
